Let Down's

Sometimes in life, we face awkward situations that may cause us pain. Those let down's in life we wish we never had to encounter. However, it's those times in our lives that make us stronger people, that give us something to reflect on, to feel for. Without these times in our lives, we would be androids wandering the universe without emotions, without sadness or let downs, but also without the great and wonderful things in life that make it so wonderful. So no matter what the decision may be, if it was made later, at least a choice was made to follow your heart and express those emotions. For every disappointment in life, there are a handful of beautiful things to learn and experience.
I'm sorry if I brought on a disappointment. Those I hate to give. I will always be here as your friend though, ready to create some happier memories =).

a weekend full of books =)

wow, I'm not a reader usually and find very little time in my life to squeeze in a novel, i'm lucky if I read two a year! However, this weekend, I found myself in whirlwind of words, soaking up every bit of the novel I could, savoring every bit of the story. It's amazing what we can do when we put or minds to it ;). Yes, that's right, lisa finished a book! =) hehe.
Surprisingly enough, I've also started a second novel this weekend! hehe, we'll see how far I get in this one, it's long so I may not have the stamina to complete it, but we'll see =). "A Million Little Pieces" is disturbingly wonderful. It's about this guy who is undergoing rehabilitation for substance abuse of every kind. If you can get past the odd style of writing, it's a gripping story, I keep reading to find out what sort of pain this guy will encounter next and I'm only 1/4 of the way through =). hehe, while I should be planning, I'm now off to read...not for work...for pleasure ;)

it's Friday!

Thank goodness for weekends! There were several times this week when I contemplated calling in for a sub, actually everyday to be exact! As the week has progressed, so has my cold. Each day feels worse and worse. I had a meeting yesterday and a demo lesson that actually worked out well. It's nice to have such a wonderful class where we receive praise for our efforts rather than constant "helpful hints to get the classroom under control" as I got so often last year. I see a lot of my old kids and they visit, of course all sweet and charming now that they are no longer in my class, they are no longer set on making life a nightmare for me. =) Although they drove me insane, they're still my first bunch of munchkins and they'll always hold a special place in my heart (believe it or not!).

Maroon 5 was absolutely amazing! =) We got to meet each of the band members and take a group photo. Despite all the headache we underwent to get the tickets, stand in line and get to the venue on time, it was all worth it when they came out to meet us and were thanking us for being there. Then, the moment of truth, would this show rock as much as we hoped? Yes! Woohoo! Omg, it was absolutely amazing! We could literally reach out and touch them, they were directly in front of us, closer than I ever thought possible! They were lively, energetic and despite my cold, evoked screaming, dancing and singing from me. *sigh* All around, a wonderful experience. My pictures came out decent, but only 1 of my soundcheck pictures turned out to be successful and the Ryan photos are completely destroyed. For some reason, the photos without flash were very blurry. Ah well, they still turned out well. =)

I just purchased Sidney Sheldon's new book. *sigh* Fans of his have been waiting for ages for this book to come out, so it's an exciting time! I'll be cooped up in my apartment reading for the next few days, so I don't know how much I'll accomplish, other than finding out how great this book is!

we work work work work work work work...=)

hehe...the seven dwarfs...ah well =) I tried ;)

Yes, that's right, it seems like no matter what time of day or what day of the week, we're always finding some way to think about all the wonderful things that still need to be done in our lives. Gosh. It's this never-ending cycle. I didn't come home today until 7. I was the last car to leave the parking lot and still managed to drag a crate full of crap home with me to plan! aiya! Well, at least my desk is sort of clean now and i'm up to date with the homework and math exams. *sigh* There's always something else!

I spoke with a terrible rasp in my voice all day long!!! My kids are probably afraid I'm spreading some horrible throat disease or something they way I've been talking! hehe...I hope this clears up by Thursday or I won't be doing much talking.

It's not even 11:00 and I'm already pooped out...my bed looks very cozy right now =). Hope all you lives are busy and wonderful too! =)

good times =)

hehe...I go in the worst blogging spurts! I'll blog everyday and sometimes twice a day for a few days and then...for all anyone knows, I've fallen into some black abyss. Haha. Well, I guess I'm back for a good two or three blogs! =)

My scratchy voice is recuperating I think...although, I awoke with a sore throat this morning and it is now a dull tickle. My voice too has been in and out, between a slight annoyance and a horrible man-like screech. ewwww! I hope it sounds better tomorrow!

Maroon 5 approaches quickly and I'm very excited. However, the dilemma of taking off of work is always more difficult as the time nears. While it is simply to say, sure I'll take the day off, it is always difficult actually doing so. Lol. It may seem strange, but I'm having a horrible time figuring out how to tell my kids that I will be away without sharing the details. I feel so attached to them! E-gads! Who knew I'd feel a bond with my students! hehe, I guess that's what real teaching is supposed to feel like! =) Don't worry, I'm taking off nonetheless and will be absolutely thrilled that day when I'm not at work talking with the oober awesome band ;). *sigh* Thanks go out to Kress who completely hooked up the situation, as she always manages to do! =)

In other news, I got my behind kicked in ponce this weekend by the other mouri gals. *sigh* I guess I need to brush up on my lacking skills! It was nice to visit with my family though, I feel like we're so distant now that I don't visit as often. Ah well, that's my job to not let that be! A weekend with the Mokroopals was as usual fun =). It's nice being able to just hang with friends...with no pressures of being proper or perfect...with no worries of trying to impress anyone...with a group of great people who have no expectations of you other than for you to be a good friend in return. =) *sigh* Thanks guys.
