The good, the bad, and the excitement =)

The Good =)
It seems as there are so many things to do and so little time to do them in =). I've had a blast the last week or so since my last post, hanging with friends and family =). So much good food and good times =).
I enjoyed Benihana happy hour sushi...yes, that's right, $1 nigiri and $2 hand rolls, *sigh* it's a little bit of heaven =) I've decided, my next visit shall be filled with spider rolls, crunchy rolls, and unagi, woohoo! =)
My dad's birthday proved to be an interesting experience as we all piled into the Suburban and took a trip down to the spectrum for some good 'ol Cheesecake Factory. =) Hooray for good eats! My dad just turned 57, *sigh* it's so hard to believe how quickly time flies.
Saladang, an absolutely delicious Thai restaurant in Downtown Pasedena is where I frequented my lunch hour Saturday. Liya, a good UCI friend was celebrating her birthday, and 6 of us 7 gal pals from the credential program were there to keep the festivities alive. The food, the atmosphere, and the company were all grrrrreat =). I miss everyone when I don't see them for so long, we all went through so much in that program together! I'm glad to have them and can't wait for the next birthday =).

The Bad =(
Tumy took me to a nearly lame Halloween house party. I'm realizing why I don't often venture out to these types of events! Because of it's last minute nature, I dressed in yellow and black with my antennae's and went disguised as a bumble bee. Imagine, walking into some strangers backyard...there's a DJ, dancefloor area, a bar complete with bartender and tip jar, a fog machine, decorations and tables galore, but there is not an ounce of food in sight, nor anyone of the asian persuasion. I love people of all shapes and sizes, however, I did feel a little awkward that we were the only non-hispanic people frequenting the yard. I felt as though I were back working at Disneyland! Hehe, this backyard party was similar to ones I visited while working at the park. We only stayed for a short time and left to grab a bite and kill our buzzes. Alas, while, it was an attempt at Halloween goodness, we were sadly misguided in our plans.

Pictures of all the wonderful events in that past few weeks are now lost in the Costco archives. That's right, Tolcher, my kids' homework party, the UCI gals, dad's b-day, have all been declared missing from the 1 hour photo department. I dropped off my pictures and 2 1/2 hours later, Tim behind the counter frantically searched for my pictures, and eventually handed me a form to fill out to report my "missing" pictures. They are supposed to search today and call me tomorrow about their whereabouts. They couldn't have grown legs or anything! I hope they are found safe and sound! =)

The excitement!
5 days until I'm free!!! =) woohoo!

is it november 6th yet?

aiya, i'm pooped out already...i can't wait for our break! while i feel like the break is full of stuff to do...i'll still be glad for it...it's a chance for me to catch my breath and do something hopefully productive! =) or...just vegetate for a day or two ;) we'll see =).

*sigh* i love concerts =) i can't wait, there are so many wonderful bands to catch and people to see...hooray for music =) i guess that's my "spa", my relaxation...my chance to "get away" from the "real world" for a little bit, it's great =)

i sound like an ass complaining about my chocolate covered life. whilst i do appreciate the great things i have, including a job that i do love (most of the time ;) ), there are times when i have to act like a pompous ass...hehe...blame it on hormones ;). ah well =) this donkey is departing from the keyboard to return to ink and carbon copies, the fate of a teacher stuck in a technologically deficient arena

shame on me!

well, I did very little work today since I got home! so, shame on me! I had an entire cart of work I wanted to accomplish tonight after my meeting. However, i got a bit sidetracked! On my home I stopped for some essentials at Target and then happened to wander past the game isle. Ok, I know, shame on me again, for purchasing the ever addicting game...Donkey Konga! omg...I've been playing all night long and now my fingers are swollen (which is the only reason I stopped playing!) My hands are numb right now and they look really ugly, but it's all worth it for some bongo fun ;). hehe...besides, I've stayed late after school everyday this week, it's my turn =). So, to make-up for my goofing off, my penence shall be after school work on a Friday *sigh*. The moral of the story is, play in moderation =).
