The good, the bad, and the excitement =)
The Good =)
It seems as there are so many things to do and so little time to do them in =). I've had a blast the last week or so since my last post, hanging with friends and family =). So much good food and good times =).
I enjoyed Benihana happy hour sushi...yes, that's right, $1 nigiri and $2 hand rolls, *sigh* it's a little bit of heaven =) I've decided, my next visit shall be filled with spider rolls, crunchy rolls, and unagi, woohoo! =)
My dad's birthday proved to be an interesting experience as we all piled into the Suburban and took a trip down to the spectrum for some good 'ol Cheesecake Factory. =) Hooray for good eats! My dad just turned 57, *sigh* it's so hard to believe how quickly time flies.
Saladang, an absolutely delicious Thai restaurant in Downtown Pasedena is where I frequented my lunch hour Saturday. Liya, a good UCI friend was celebrating her birthday, and 6 of us 7 gal pals from the credential program were there to keep the festivities alive. The food, the atmosphere, and the company were all grrrrreat =). I miss everyone when I don't see them for so long, we all went through so much in that program together! I'm glad to have them and can't wait for the next birthday =).
The Bad =(
Tumy took me to a nearly lame Halloween house party. I'm realizing why I don't often venture out to these types of events! Because of it's last minute nature, I dressed in yellow and black with my antennae's and went disguised as a bumble bee. Imagine, walking into some strangers backyard...there's a DJ, dancefloor area, a bar complete with bartender and tip jar, a fog machine, decorations and tables galore, but there is not an ounce of food in sight, nor anyone of the asian persuasion. I love people of all shapes and sizes, however, I did feel a little awkward that we were the only non-hispanic people frequenting the yard. I felt as though I were back working at Disneyland! Hehe, this backyard party was similar to ones I visited while working at the park. We only stayed for a short time and left to grab a bite and kill our buzzes. Alas, while, it was an attempt at Halloween goodness, we were sadly misguided in our plans.
Pictures of all the wonderful events in that past few weeks are now lost in the Costco archives. That's right, Tolcher, my kids' homework party, the UCI gals, dad's b-day, have all been declared missing from the 1 hour photo department. I dropped off my pictures and 2 1/2 hours later, Tim behind the counter frantically searched for my pictures, and eventually handed me a form to fill out to report my "missing" pictures. They are supposed to search today and call me tomorrow about their whereabouts. They couldn't have grown legs or anything! I hope they are found safe and sound! =)
The excitement!
5 days until I'm free!!! =) woohoo!
