Our new home =)

We're officially in and settling in nicely.  I'm exhausted at the end of everyday unpacking boxes and trying to get things into livable shape.  This weekend was super productive and Matt sure went to town moving boxes and swiping that credit card!  Hehe...while we keep trying to get rooms "finished"...I'd say just about every room is almost done, but there's always something else to do.  It's actually a lot of fun moving into a house that you can call home for years to come. =)

Scheduling

Man...people need to work on scheduling things better...I'm exhausted and it's only Tuesday.  I think the weekend will be a welcome sight...it just seems so far away!

Who knew...

...that it would happen to you. You think the odds of attending a wedding where the bride is wearing the same perfect gown you did is slimmer than none, but it happened last weekend. I wish I could say I was more graceful about the whole thing...I wasn't. =)

Tired...

...of people making me feel incompetent. I'm busting my ass for what? I have no idea.

Exhausted

I slept 10 hours last night. My body was so wiped, I just couldn't do anything if I wanted to. Despite all the ridiculous changes and trying to catch up...I think my group is better than being a 5th grade teacher with 38 students all day! So in the end...it looks like life isn't too bad. But the year is only beginning...*sigh*. I need a new profession.

So much for luck...

It's Friday afternoon and everything goes south...
...the directive is, "you will now be teaching the 4/5 Language! combo class".

At this point I've run through the gamut of emotions and am trying to make peace with this bummer of a situation. If this is what's best for the kids, ok...but if this breaks me, I'm finding new employment. No, wait...I won't let this break me, I'll be fine =).

I'm going to bummed for a loooooong time about having to say goodbye to my 3rd grade class...to my awesome grade level partners...to shorter instructional days...to smaller class sizes...to sharing lunches with a room full of people...to the "Miss Mouri, Miss Mouri, Miss Mouri I have to tell you something really important!"...and to the feeling that this year was going to be a good one.

While I'm lucky I don't have to move classrooms, lots of things will have to move and change. *sigh* Just when you think things are getting easier, someone pulls the rug out from under you and says...just kidding!

All those with suggestions on destressing, send those my way...I think I'm going to need those this year!!! =D
