Freedom! =)

Hehe...how terrible it sounds that I'm so excited to be free from my classroom obligations, but I am. It's not that I don't absolutely love my students, because I do. Every one of them will always hold a special place in my heart...but...it's nice not having to stress about the days lesson, the homework, the tears, the drama, the arguing, the talking, and the responsibility.

I got to my math training today and while I'm exhausted now still attempting to get my homework finished...I'm really glad I signed up. It turns out this is a fabulous training and we get free goodies everyday that will help us in the classroom. Today I got a box of 72 foam dice, a patterns in algebra workbook, and a new National Council of Mathematics Standards book! Hooray for free goodies! =) I get paid for being there, plus we get breakfast and lunch! =) hehe I do have to work for the goodies though, I don't think I've done so much critical thinking in math in quite a long time! I haven't taken a math course in years!!!

Thanks to the Mokroopals, I celebrated on a wonderful Friday at the Yard House. Thanks to Rodel for driving...and albert for driving me home...*sigh* I was able to drink 2 glasses of cider! yes...I was very very happy. We should all be allowed to feel that excited every now and a again ;).
Saturday I bailed on Tumy and her clubbing invitation *sorry Tumy =(* and went to a nice calm dinner with Nadine instead. *sigh* I never know if my decisions are the right ones...I might have enjoyed my night better had I not bailed and actually went out with Tumy and her very nice friends. Sarah, the other teacher who had planned to go never showed and so it was just going to be Nadine and I...or not...she informed me when the doorbell rang that her "friend" Brad was coming along. Oh no, if she let me know before I left the apartment...I could have bailed but instead, I went along feeling like a 3rd wheel...I HATE being the 3rd wheel! All in all, he was a very nice guy and even bought my drink b/c I voluteered to be the designated driver. The two of them would have acted quite differently though had I not been there to rain on their parade. *sigh* Plus...they're both in their 30's! hehe...I must have looked like a little sister or something! hehe It was good eats and a good experience though.

Hanging out with other people really makes me appreciate the wonderfulness and the stability of the oober great Mokroopals ;). Your best friends are titled that for a reason...they'll always be there for you and will always remind you of who you really are =).
